Caspar_David_Friedrich_-_Wanderer_above_the_sea_of_fog.jpg

Wanderer above the Sea of Fog is a painting by German Romanticist artist Caspar David Friedrich made in 1818. It depicts a man standing upon a rocky precipice with his back to the viewer; he is gazing out on a landscape covered in a thick sea of fog through which other ridges, trees, and mountains pierce, which stretches out into the distance indefinitely. It is a representation of the process of therapy. Therapy is a journey through healing, motivation, concouring avoidance and ultimately providing tools so you can move toward a life of meaning, purpose and contentment.

What to Expect

If you are ready to pursue counseling and choose to work with me, we will first start with a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if my practice would be a good fit for your needs. From there a mental health therapy intake will be scheduled and intake paperwork will be completed. The first appointment is an intake interview consisting of a psychosocial history. From the intake appointment, should you wish to continue, you and I will determine a treatment plan, scheduling, frequency of sessions. My priority is making sure the process is transparent, and you are relieved of any unknowns. Getting started with therapy is often the hardest part and it is completely normal to feel nervous. It's my job to help you feel at ease and work collaboratively with you. Whether you believe it or not, you are the expert of yourself, and I am bringing my knowledge and experience to work with you to achieve your goal.
